The Holiday season is upon us and it is time to start cooking up a feast, what better time to try adding a little pizzazz to your recipes. A little rum, bourbon or vodka can spark up your recipes and give them a little extra holiday spirit. Christmas dinner at our house always includes my sister’s hard sauce for plum pudding. She always uses the best cognac or brandy she can find in the cupboard which makes the sauce irresistible. Scotch or rum truffles, eggnog cookies and spiked cranberry sauce usually show up on our dinner menu as well. Happy holidays and enjoy adding a little “spirit” to your cooking this season..
