Pour applejack and bitters over ice cubes in a double old fashioned glass and fill with cold cider.

7. HOT APPLE CIDER (NON-ALCOHOLIC)

Ingredients:

  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 16 cloves (whole)
  • 1/2 gallon apple cider
  • 1 orange (or two)

Mixing instructions:

Stud the oranges with cloves. Put the cider into a large saucepan, add the oranges and one or two cinnamon sticks. Put on low heat for several hours (you can just leave it on all day for a party). It gets better with age. Just pour in more cider when it starts getting low.

Tip:

You can spike this version by adding one cup of rum, brandy or cognac.

  • Dash apricot brandy
  • Dash grenadine
