Nothing says traditional holidays like Turkey and Gravy Soda.

Jones Soda, based in Seattle, has released their third annual Holiday Packs. This year’s 2005 Holiday Pack is true to form with flavor ideas that do not disappoint – at least not from a creative point of view. This year’s flavors include the Turkey and Gravy Soda, Brussels Sprout with Prosciutto, Cranberry Sauce, Wild Herb Stuffing and Pumpkin Pie. Available in gift packs the packs that also include a serving spoon, moistened towelette, and wine list.

Don’t believe us? - More information is available at their site.

Thought Turkey and Gravy Soda was odd? How about an upside down Christmas tree?

Maybe it’s because it’s a better way to show off the ornaments, or a great way to ensure there is space for all your Christmas presents – but these upside down Christmas trees have been selling like crazy, turning the Christmas tree market upside down (couldn’t resist).

Like so many things – hot ideas are not necessarily new ideas – seems the upside down Christmas tree was a tradition back in the 12th century in Central Europe. (Visit sherylkaras.com for more detail on that history).

One manufacturer Roman Inc. is already reporting great sales through online dealers - including Hammacher Schlemmer and Target.

"People seem to love them," a Roman Inc company spokeswoman said of the trees, which either stand upside down on a weighted base or hang from the ceiling. "They like that they don't take up much space and that their ornaments are more visible," she added.

This won’t fit under the tree – a $35,000 walk in Wine Vault

TRIVIA

The term “Michelada” comes from Mexican slang for “my cold beer”

For that wine lover on your Christmas list who seems to have everything comes this GE Monogram Collection Walk in Wine Vault that, as their site says – “combines advanced cooling technology, an electronic inventory-management system, insulation, racking, and lighting - all in one spacious, self-contained unit that can be installed in as little as a day.”

According to their site this unit can hold over 1,000 bottles and “elevates the art of wine collecting to state-of-the-art with an electronic inventory system. In just seconds, you can locate wines and determine whether bottles are ready for consumption. You can also store prices, tasting notes and other details that can enhance the wine-collecting experience.”

We have the space and if you are still looking for a gift idea for us, check out their web site.
