This article from Slate makes a pretty compelling arguement for Muscadet. In the worst case the article serves as a great primer on Muscadet. In the best case you have a great excuse to bring some great wine with you to all your summer events.

Feast of Fields!
In the Toronto area on September 7th? If so, check out this intimate view of organic food production:

Organic Advocates, a non-profit association that supports organic food awareness and sustainability is hosting the 19th Feast of Fields event. Founded by chefs Jamie Kennedy, Michael Stadtlander and other like-minded professionals, this annual event gives guests an opportunity to extend their knowledge of organic food by leisurely wandering through Everdale Organic Farm, enjoying organic food and drink, while talking with local farmers, celebrity chefs, vintners and brewers.

Each year, funds raised at the Feast of Fields event are donated to an ecological group or organization to promote sustainable, organic agriculture. This year’s recipient is the Farmer Chef Intern Program at Everdale Organic Farm.

Tickets can be purchased on-line at www.feastoffields.org or by calling (905) 859-3609.
