CAFÉ BRŰLOT Basic
Ingredients:
- Several Cinnamon stick
- 8 cloves (whole)
- 4-5 sugar cubes , depending on sweetness desired
- 4 oz. brandy or cognac or whisky
- 1 pt. coffee
- Outer peel (zest) of 1/2 lemon
- Outer peel (zest) of 1/2 orange
Mixing instructions:
Place all ingredients, except brandy and coffee, in a bru[adlot bowl or chafing dish. Soften sugar cubes with a little water and mash them into orange and lemon peels with a muddler. Add warmed brandy and mix well with other ingredients in bowl. Ignite and blaze for a few seconds and pour in hot coffee. Ladle into demitasse cups. Makes four servings.
