LEMONADE - non alcoholic

Ingredients:

  • 8 cups Water 
  • cold
  • 6 lemons 
  • 1 cup Boiling water 
  • 1 cup sugar 

Mixing instructions:

Squeeze the juice of 6 lemons into a bowl. Keep the lemon rinds until later, and strain the lemon juice into a large pitcher. Add sugar and ice water. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Place lemon rinds in a seperate bowl and add one cup of boiling water. Let stand until water is cold. Remove the rinds and add water to the pitcher and stir well. Refrigerate until well chilled. Makes 2 1/2 quarts. There are many recipes for lemonade and there are simpler ways to make it, but this recipe remains one of the true classic recipes for this summer treat.
