SANGRIA Champagne
Ingredients:
- Several dashes lime juice
- 3 oz. grapefruit juice
- 2 oz. Plymouth Gin
- 1 750-ml. bottle champagne
- 1 generous cup grapefruit sections
- 1 lime , sliced thin
- 1 oz. maraschino liqueur or sugar syrup to taste
- 1 750-ml. bottle Riesling wine
- 1 oz. triple sec
- Mint sprigs [optional]
Mixing instructions:
Prechill all ingredients and mix riesling, grapefruit, gin, triple sec, maraschino liqueur, grapefruit and lime juices, in a chilled punch bowl with a cake of ice. Check sweetness and add more lime juice if too sweet or more maraschino or triple sec if too tart. Pour in champagne and stir gently. Garnish with lime sections and mint sprigs. Makes about 16 servings.
