Hot cocktails
One of the few advantages of the cold weather is the wonderful excuse it gives you to create a warm beverage to enjoy by the fire, or after a day on the slopes.
When most people think of hot cocktails they think of coffee. While most hot drinks are made with coffee, we are pleased to offer hot drink ideas that are also made with tea and hot chocolate.
Creating a hot cocktail
Hot drinks are usually a combination of two techniques: Built and Stirred. The main ingredient (hot coffee, tea or chocolate) is poured into the glass that it will be served in, stirred in the glass and then served.
Decorating a hot cocktail
Most hot drinks are layered with whipped cream, right up to within 5 mm of the top of the glass, and this means that, in some cases, sugar has to be added to the drink to increase its density to the point that the whipped cream will float on top.
