Adult SlushiesADULT SLUSHIES:

the snow cone cocktail

We all remember those hot summer days when we chased the ice cream truck down the street to be rewarded with a frozen slush or snow cone, quickly followed by the inevitable "brain freeze"...

Why not bring back those days with an adult twist? Just add sme spirits, and follow our simple two-step process.

STEP 1 - Make your snow

(enough for four cones)

  • Place approximately six cups of ice into a food processor fitted with the grater blade, and shave to a fine texture. Be careful: too long in the processor and the ice will turn to powder.
  • Using an ice cream scoop, transfer a cup of shaved ice into a chilled cocktail glass (see picture) or paper snow cone cuo.
  • You can also shape the ice into small balls with your hands and transfer to the cocktail glass.

TIP

No matter what spirits you add to the ice, try to cool them bsefore adding to the ice.

Any cocktail can be poured over shaved ice, but we recommend that a sweet liqueur be included.

SPOON or SIP

Some of your guests may prefer a spoon to enjoy this treat.
