The 12 days of ChristmasA very spirited twist on another classic theme.

bar TIP

Let your guests do the shaking! Build a self-serve bar and place these 12 recipes around the bar. Remember to have lots of measurement glasses available for responsible mixing.

Warning: We did have to take some creative liberties to make some of these links, but we had fun doing it!

“12 Drummers Drumming” - A drum, or better yet a “dram” of premium malt scotch – no real recipe just a great excuse to try some great scotch whisky.

“11 Pipers Piping” - use some Piper champagne  to create an exceptional Champagne cocktail – The “Champagne-tini”

“10 Lords a Leaping”- Leap frog – really no relation to the Holidays but at least they relate – somewhat ?

“9 Ladies Dancing” - Two related drinks: the rather dated “Ladies cocktail” or a classic made popular by the ladies of "Sex and the City" - Cosmopolitan

“8 Maids a Milking” - White Christmas Dream - this cream based Christmas drink will leave all the maids smiling.

“ 7 Swans a Swimming”Sink or Swim - 3,000 drink recipes – we were bound to have something !

“6 Geese a Laying” - How about the classic “Rob Roy” made with another famous bird - Famous Grouse Scotch

“5 Golden rings” finally an easy one: can’t afford the Golden Ring – how about a Golden Chain

“4 Calling Birds”ABSOLUT Snowbird Calling you south for winter!

“3 French Hens” – No “hen” related drinks but plenty of “French” related drinks like the
French Twist or French 75 (with gin)

“2 Turtle Doves” - shake up two of these - Dove Champagne Cocktail

“1 Partridge in a Pear Tree” - Partridge was a hard one to link to, but luckily we have a “Pear” Cognac to suggest – Try Xante in a “Sugar Daddy”

And last but not least, a very “Merry Christmas” cocktail
