Marc Laverdiere has been a fan of single malts for years, enjoying a variety of whiskies and the company of fellow Scotch enthusiasts. Upon retirement after a career in the restaurant industry, he was eager to discover new ways to pursue his hobby, continue to learn about the great world of malts while sharing his passion with folks like himself who are curious about the “water of life,” its history and its culture.

Laverdiere's timing couldn’t have been better, as Maxxium Canada, an international importer of spirits and wines, had just initiated a search for an ambassador for The Macallan. A few discussions and interviews later, he now has his “dream job,” as The Macallan Brand Ambassador for Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.
