TEA MARTINIS (TeaTinis)

Tea, in all its flavors, can add an exciting splash to almost any martini. For any martini that calls for tea, simple create ahead of time and let it cool.

Tea cocktails

THE CLASSIC COCKTAIL WITH A LITTLE TWIST.

MISTLETOE MARTINI

  • 3-4 ice cubes
  • 3 oz. Cranberry tea, chilled
  • 2 oz. vodka
  • 2 oz. orange juice
  • 3 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 oz. lemon juice

Place ice cubes in Martini shaker and add all ingredients. Close the shaker and shake. Strain into two martini glasses. Garnish and enjoy.

Holiday Hint:

If you're making several teatinis, brew a pot of Tetley Cranberry tea beforehand. Then you'll have enough tea handy to mix more cocktails.


Add a festive flaire with these garnish ideas:

·Fresh or frozen cranberries
·Thin wheels of lemon or lime
·Fresh mint leaves
·Cinnamon sticks
·Mini candy canes

GREEN TEA MARTINI

  • Ice
  • 1 ounce green tea, chilled
  • 2 ounces citron vodka
  • 1 teaspoon Cointreau
  • 1 teaspoon simple syrup
  • Orange twist

Fill a shaker with ice. Add green tea, vodka, Cointreau and simple syrup. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.

GIN & TEA

A new twist on the Gin & Tonic.

  • 1 ½ oz. Gin
  • 1/2 oz. lemon juice
  • 1 oz. Simple Syrup
  • 3 oz. Orange pekoe tea
  • Tonic water

Build all the ingredients over ice in a highball glass and top with tonic. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

TEA-FOR-TWO-MARTINI


  • 1 ½ oz. Spiced Rum
  • 3 oz. black tea
  • 1 oz. Simple syrup
  • 1 ½ cranberry juice
  • 1 tsp. grenadine

Place tea in martini shaker along with rum and mixers, shake well and strain into two-chilled martini glasses. Garnish with a cherry.

RED TEA


  • 1 oz. Chambord or your favorite Raspberry Liqueur
  • 1 oz. Vodka
  • 3 oz. tea
  • 1 oz. simple syrup

Pour all ingredients into a shakee and shake well. Pour into a martini glass and garnish with raspberries.

In all its forms, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, classic and complicated, sweet and spicy -- there's nothing that makes a martini look better than a unique garnish. So don't settle for the standard lemon twist. Think mint sprigs, cinnamon sticks, apple slices, blood orange wheels, red currants.

Vodka Infusion

Some enjoy infusing vodka with Tea. Simply place a tea bag that has been soaked in a small amount of boiling water into a bottle or infusion jar holding the vodka and let it infuse for five to six hours or to taste.
